a whirl-i-gig of emotions

sweep past as

St. Vitus Cathedral,

enveloped in diamonds,

appears. 

Stop midstep.

Check breathing.
Not breathing.

Slow intake as heart beats

musically with euphoria,

a day of wonderment held 
beside medieval structure 
resembling heaven’s front gates;

so sweet of a moment
minute
second
yet lasting 
a lifetime within memory.
